My 9 month old infant is experiencing constipation.  His poop is very solid and hard, and sometimes comes out as a little ball - definitely constipated.  When he goes through bowl movement, he would grunt loudly, and many times would cry.

I talked to my doctor and he suggested that I give him more water.  I did that, and it didn’t seem to help.  What makes it worse is that he’s also taking iron supplement.  I also give me fruits (baby food) and that seems to help a little bit.

Has anyone had this problem, and what else can I try?
